How do I know if my problem is alignment rather than a faulty decoder?

If the error message is E48 or the signal quality in the decoder's menu is below 85%, it's almost certainly alignment. We'll diagnose for free on a standard call-out.

Can I just do it myself with the on-screen meter?

You can, but the on-screen meter lags by a second or two and doesn't show the fine differences that matter. A calibrated meter lets us find the true peak, which is why our alignments hold up through thunderstorms that knock out self-aligned dishes.

How long does an alignment take?
