Terms of Service

These terms apply when you book any service from DSTV Pro Installers. Booking a job by phone, WhatsApp, or through the online form on this site means you accept the terms set out below. If anything is unclear, call us on +27 77 454 4032 before the technician arrives and we'll talk it through.

Who we are

DSTV Pro Installers is an independent accredited DSTV installation business serving Gauteng. We are not MultiChoice and we do not act on MultiChoice's behalf beyond our accreditation as an installer. Subscription and account queries must be handled directly with MultiChoice.

Quotes and pricing

Prices quoted over the phone or WhatsApp are estimates based on a standard installation. Once the technician is on site, the final price may change if the work turns out to be more involved than expected — for example, a double-storey dish mount, long cable runs through face-brick walls, or an LNB that needs replacing. The technician will walk you through any variation and get your approval before starting. No surprise charges on the invoice.

Bookings and arrival

We work in two-hour arrival windows rather than fixed times, since Gauteng traffic and earlier jobs occasionally run over. You'll get a WhatsApp message when the technician is roughly 30 minutes away. If we're running late beyond the window, we'll contact you and offer the option to reschedule at no charge.

Cancellations

Free cancellation any time before the technician leaves the depot. If the technician arrives and the job can't proceed for a reason on your end (no access, power off, wrong address), a call-out fee of R350 applies to cover the trip. If the reason is on our end, there is no charge.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the job by card, EFT, or cash. Card machines are available on every vehicle. For EFT, a proof of payment must be sent before the technician leaves site. We do not offer accounts or 30-day terms for residential jobs.

Warranty

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of installation. If a dish comes out of alignment, a cable fails, or a wall mount loosens within that period and the cause is our work, we'll come back and fix it at no charge. The warranty does not cover damage from weather events, power surges, tampering by a third party, or normal wear on hardware like LNBs and remotes. Hardware carries its own manufacturer warranty, which we will help you claim against if needed.

What we are not responsible for

Signal loss caused by the weather, subscription issues, decoder faults that develop long after installation, or problems caused by the customer modifying the setup after we've left, are outside the scope of our work. We'll still do our best to help diagnose the problem on a normal service-call basis.

Liability

We carry public liability insurance. If our work damages your property, the claim is settled through the insurer. We are not liable for consequential losses (such as missed TV events or business use of the decoder). Our total liability for any single job is limited to the value of that job.

Disputes

If you're unhappy with a job, phone or WhatsApp us first. Most issues are resolved within 48 hours by sending a technician back. If we can't resolve it, the matter is handled under the laws of the Republic of South Africa and in the courts having jurisdiction in Gauteng.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version in force at the date of your booking is the one that applies to your job.
