Centurion is a large and diverse residential area that sprawls from the Hennops River in the north down to Irene in the south, covering Eldoraigne, Highveld, Wierda Park, Centurion Central and the newer estate belt around Cornwall Hill and Copperleaf. It's one of the most DSTV-saturated suburbs in Gauteng — nearly every residential property has at least one decoder, and a large proportion of households run Extra View or multi-room setups. We do a lot of Centurion work, and it's one of the few suburbs where we deliberately maintain an installer presence so that same-day response is as quick as it is for our own Bryanston hub.
The suburb's housing variety means every Centurion booking is a slightly different install. Eldoraigne is mature freehold — 80s and 90s family homes on proper stands with mature gardens and, often, trees in awkward positions for dish line-of-sight. Highveld is newer, more estate-oriented, with bigger double-storey homes and stricter HOA rules. Wierda Park is mid-market suburban and often the simplest install profile. Centurion Central, around the old Centurion Mall area, has a lot of sectional title and complex work. The Copperleaf and Irene estate belt is the premium end — large homes, bigger TV specs (65 to 85-inch), integrated AV systems and Explora Ultra as standard. Because we know which is which, our installers go to a Centurion booking with the right kit and the right expectations. There's very little that surprises us here.
Centurion also has an unusually high density of small business and home-office DSTV work — the suburb is home to a lot of self-employed professionals who use their home entertainment setup as part of their working environment. That means our Centurion installs often extend beyond just TV viewing into dual-purpose setups: a lounge TV that handles DSTV, a work laptop and a presentation input with proper HDMI switching and AVR integration. The SuperSport Park cricket ground is also in Centurion, and we do a handful of pub and restaurant installs within the suburb around the stadium, usually multi-screen sports setups with dedicated channel configurations. For residential work, same-day response is usually 1-3 hours because our installer base here is genuinely local rather than dispatched from elsewhere.
Bottom line: the local dstv installer Centurion residents keep on speed-dial is one with proper local presence and genuinely fast response. An accredited dstv installer Centurion estates and freehold owners both trust is one who knows Eldoraigne, Highveld and Copperleaf equally well.
